Hey Everyone,
Thanks everyone for being here and rallying together for our first
"work to the rule" day. I know the group has started small, this
morning there were only a few people, by this afternoon we had a
larger group. More and more people will catch on, and think our group
will continue to get bigger.
If possible, we would like to meet at 7:20 tomorrow and stand across
the way from where we met this morning. We figure this is a good place
to stand since this is not CCSD property. We will hold up our signs
until 7:30 while parents are dropping off their students. We will meet
again at 2:40 by the faculty lounge and walk out again tomorrow. It is
making a statement, and people noticed.
Wednesday is going to be a big day for our demonstration. At 3:00 PM,
HMS is holding a mandatory band/choir meeting. All the parents will be
there and this is a prime time to stand outside with our signs. Media
has been notified. I know everyone is busy, but if you can plan to
stay for a little while on Wednesday it would be great. Also, bring a
friend!
Tomorrow afternoon, at 4:30, there is a meeting at the CCEA building.
Information will be provided about the rally for Saturday. A few
people expressed interest in car pooling to the event. I was thinking
that meeting at Harney is a good place to meet, then we can travel
straight up Washington to Cashman. More information will be given
tomorrow, but if you are interested in going and carpooling let me know.
